Ozônio
WHAT IS OZONE?
- Ozone is a gas whose main raw material is oxygen in the air (a triatomic and allotrope molecule that breaks down quickly) and is generated on-site where it is to be used.
- It is considered the strongest disinfectant that can be employed to purify water. It can be used to purify liquids from drinking water to swimming pools.
GENERATION OF OZONE
- Our BRO3 system uses the corona concept to produce ozone and generates it with the use of multiple coaxial pipes (TMC).
ADVANTAGES OF OZONE
- Avoid any problems with unpleasant tastes or odors;
- Provides clear and crystalline water;
- Benefits for skin and health (ozone therapy);
- Does not irritate the skin or mucus membranes;
- Is active against viruses, bacteria, spores, cists, protozoans, etc;
- Oxidize heavy metals (iron, manganese, nitrate), eliminating the risk of ingestion whether accidental or not;
- Does not leave damaging residues to the environment;
- Increases the FLOC of organic material, increasing the effectiveness of swimming pool filtration;
- Produced on-site through the air, with the need for the transport or storage of chemical products;
- Ozone has a relatively short life span, in other words, it spontaneously reverts back to oxygen without producing residue.
SAFETY
- In February of 2002 the Federal Department of Agriculture in the United States (FDA) published Directive No. 7120.1.
It defines ozone as an antibacterial substance liberated for use in products and processes that benefit foodstuffs whenever it is used at adequate levels and by application methods that are within good manufacturing practices. - The FDA also approved ozone utilization as an antibacterial agent in the treatment, storage and processing of food according to regulation 21 CFR 173.368. It has been explicitly recognized since 1982 that ozone is a safe substance (GRAS – Generally Recognized as Safe) for use in the food industry (Federal Regulation 47:50209-502 10).
